BAY CLUSTER COUNSELLING AND WELLBEING SERVICE
The Service
The Jac Lewis Foundation is working alongside the Bay Cluster GP Practices to provide an easily accessible counselling service for children.
The Service Can Provide
- Counselling/therapy sessions
- Counselling can be delivered face-to-face, online or via telephone depending on what the individual would prefer.
- Wellbeing Workshops
- GPs will refer individuals to the Project.
Counselling/Therapy sessions
The types of counselling that the project can offer:
- Person centred counselling
- Integrative counselling
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
- Systemic Therapy
- EMDR (Trauma Therapy)
- Art Psychotherapy
- Music Therapy
Face to Face Counselling sessions will take place at 148 St Helens Road, Swansea SA14DF.
Wellbeing Workshops
(Delivered online or face to face)
- Mindfulness
- Pain Management
- Anxiety
- Cognitive Behaviour Therapy Coping Skills
- Stress Management

What happens after the GP refers an individual to the project?
- The individual/parent will be called by a counsellor and a suitable appointment will be made to start counselling/therapy sessions.
- The Counsellor will provide six counselling/therapy sessions to the individual.
The Project Cannot Provide
- Mental Health Diagnosis
- Long-term mental health support (this remains the responsibility of the individual GP practitioner)

The Jac Lewis Foundation abides by the BACP (British Association of Counselling) Ethical Framework and Practice Guidelines.
